Welcome to TIME WARP and today’s video is about Iconic 1927 ford model t and why this 15 Millionth car that changed the world.

Did you guys know, when was ford model t invented? Was the model t the first car? In today's video we're going back to day 26 of May 1927 and explain everything you need to know about the henry ford model t, when was the model t made.

The Ford Model T was a landmark car that changed the automobile industry in America forever. Before Henry Ford came on the scene with a vision to make a car that was affordable to the common man, owning a vehicle in those days was reserved for the wealthy.

The Ford Model T changed that. For 9 years, the Ford Model T was a symbol of American industrialization, the icon of the success of a man who triumphed against all odds to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs of his generation - Henry Ford.

First introduced in 1908, the Model T, also known as the "Tin Lizzie", weighed approximately 1,200 pounds and boasted a four-cylinder engine that supplied 20 units of horsepower to the wheels.

Initially, the Model T sold at a whopping $850. In today's currency, that would amount to $20,000. But in a bid to make the car more affordable to middle-class Americans, a basic Model T version with no extra features was manufactured and sold for as low as $260. If you're wondering how much that would cost in today's market, that would be around $6,000.

When the Model T hit the market, it immediately became the king of the American roads. The popularity of the Model T forced the US government to make the construction of new roads a top priority by 1920. But while the Model T was enjoying its dominance, other competitors in the automobile industry did not just sit back.

By 1926, the Model T was no longer the most sought-after affordable car on the road. There were no other more affordable alternatives on the road. Henry Ford remained open to a free and fair market in the automobile industry, refusing to pursue a monopoly that other ruthless entrepreneurs before him had sought to do.

But in an open market that he helped build, the competition from other manufacturers had finally caught up with the Model T. For Henry Ford and his company, it was time to move on to another Ford model - the Model A.

But Henry Ford was not keen on ending the production of the Model T just yet. Instead, he hoped to keep up the production of the Model T while his factories underwent retooling for the manufacturing of the new Model A. He had to say goodbye to the beloved Model T as he bid farewell to the car that in his own words, "ran before there were good roads to run on". Ford and his son Edsel were on hand to drive out the very last Model T ever made - the 15 millionth unit of the Model T.

The glory of the Model T is a testament to Henry Ford's entrepreneurial genius. Born on July 30, 1863, in Wayne County, Michigan, Ford grew up to be a revolutionary in the manufacturing industry, completely changing the face of manufacturing and production through his innovative assembly-line methods.

Ford grew up on the farm helping his father and supporting his family. But by age 16, he went to Detroit to find employment in the famous machine shops. He soon came in contact with the internal combustion engine, a machine he became fascinated with so much so that it not only changed his life but the face of America as a whole.

Ford would later set up the Detroit Automobile Company, later called the Henry Ford Company, where he built several racing cars. Eventually, Ford left this company to set up the Ford Motor Company, where he realised his long-held dream of designing an affordable family car for the average American - the Model T. It was the beginning of a dynasty that would make Ford one of the richest men in America. While he had his fans and his critics, Ford left behind a legacy as an industrial revolutionist. He died on April 7, 1947, in Dearborn, Michigan.
