Flexure Lecture - Hackaday Superconference 2019

This is the recording of my Flexure Lecture workshop given at Hackaday Superconference 2019. It covers the basics of flexures and compliant mechanisms.

I am extremely sorry for not wearing a microphone, I will do better next time. Many thanks to the guy who ate a muffin so quietly and produced a surprisingly small amount of noise for the entire recording.

- PDF of the slides, as well as design files for many of the flexure demos shown later in the video can be found here: https://github.com/amymakesstuff/flexure-fun

- A video specifically focusing on the flexure demo board and the assembly of the gripper can be found here: https://youtu.be/YEz-r8KDY-0

- The BYU Compliant Mechanism Research Group is a treasure trove of glorious GIFs and information on compliant mechanisms: https://www.compliantmechanisms.byu.edu

- The Machine Agency at the University of Washington is led by Nadya Peek, whose previous work on MTM Snap is featured in this workshop. Also featured is the work of her current Phd students Joshua Vasquez and Frikk Fossdal. http://depts.washington.edu/machines/

- More information on Metamaterials Mechanisms, as demonstrated by the pink door latch can be found here https://hpi.de/baudisch/projects/metamaterial-mechanisms.html It is the subject of the Phd work by Alexandra Ion http://alexandraion.com
