There are many common mistakes that people make regarding how to care for locs. Learn about these essential Dos and Don'ts for locs.

DON’T: pull off the buds from the end of your locks
The little balls that form at the end of your locks are very important. If you pull them off, the lock has to start budding all over again!

DON’T: apply oils as a moisturizer
Oils do not add moisture your hair! What you need are moisturizers with a water base such as our Rose water Revitalizing Spray.

DO: separate your locks after washing
Unless you are doing matting/free-form locks, you should be lightly pull apart the intertwined hair at your roots. This will keep your parting neat and in tact, and it will also speed up your retwists.
