The best place to watch sunset at Zion National Park? (Drum roll please…)

Zion Canyon Overlook.

We chased the sunset on the Zion Canyon Overlook trail (by “chased,” I literally mean chased: ran, sprinted, lept).

And we made it at the perfect time — the sun was just beginning to shine through the sharp Zion mountains.

Luckily, the trail was fairly quick and easy. (Or at least we made it quick. 🤣)

For those of you who aren’t too keen on hiking Angels Landing (like me), this trail, the Zion Canyon Overlook trail, is a FANTASTIC alternative.
