Re-grease the stiff aperture ring In Nikkor-H Auto 1:3.5 f=2.8cm
In this video I will in an "easy" way show how to re-grease the stiff aperture ring In Nikkor-H Auto 1:3.5 f=2.8cm.
Even if old Nikkor lenses look's almost similar they are not the same inside, and it's also the case with this old lens, just like someone ask, "does the aperture ring come's off after 8 3/4 turn just like the Nikkor-P" as it was normal in those old lenses, and of course it could be the "standard way" but.
No! in this Nikkor-H it takes almost 9 1/2 turn to come off the thread, and then the little screw hole should be almost inline with the index mark (it could be different in your lens...)
Then I use some Isopropylalcohol 99% on a brush and some cottonbuds to take away the old grease and dirt, then apply #10 helicoid grease and it all went fine again.
