The Perm Video

In 1995, the boys from CTV dared PJ Bean to get a perm after photos of his failed "Make my son look like Doogie Howser" perm photos from middle school surfaced. PJ Bean knew that his friends were broke and only agreed to get a perm if they paid to have it done at a nice salon (costing around $50). So, it was basically never going to happen. However, the next day the other stars of CTV - Daddy Jive, Dr. Woodchuck, The Slug, and others, descended upon Willamette High School with donation jars covered in pictures of Bean's middle school perm with the words "Jadd's Perm Fund" on the lid. The boys raised the initial $50 in the first day... but they kept going. In total, "Jadd's Perm Fund" raised nearly $500 dollars with the excess money going to concert tickets, beach trips, Mary Jane, CDs, gas money, Enchanted Forest, movies, hush money, bribes, and Sean's lunch. Jadd grew-out the perm the rest of the school year to the delight of his male friends. He played YMCA basketball with a curly afro and would yell "Perm for 3" every time he shot the ball. The squad would go on to win the YMCA championship thanks to the magic hair. Almost every girl at school, especially Jadd's girlfriend, hated the perm. Jadd’s mom basically refused to take photos of him for 8 months.
