Mosby appears for final motions hearing
Former Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby returned Monday to federal court ahead of jury selection for her trial on perjury charges. Mosby appeared at court in Greenbelt for a final motions hearing that wrapped up some loose ends following her four-count indictment in January 2022. In September, a federal judge granted a defense motion to move the trial from federal court in Baltimore to Greenbelt. Additionally, at the same hearing, the judge agreed to split the charges between two trials, so the perjury trial begins this week, and the mortgage fraud trial will follow separately.
