Ceuta Migrant Crisis: Spanish Police Chase, Army Trucks Take Migrants Back To Border | N18G | 4K

A sudden surge of migration into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on the African coast led to a major humanitarian and security crisis. More than 50,000 migrants crossed into Ceuta by land and sea from July 30, overwhelming local services and drawing concern across the European Union. Spanish police dispersed groups of migrants on August 2 as authorities worked to restore order. Footage showed migrants carrying an unwell man from a beach toward a Red Cross facility before police intervened. Spanish officials reported 72 deaths and more than 1,000 people receiving medical treatment during the crisis. Many migrants drowned or were crushed while attempting to cross barriers and reach Spanish territory. Authorities said over 48,000 migrants returned to Morocco within 48 hours, with further returns continuing. Economic hardship and misleading social media information were cited as reasons behind the dangerous migration attempts.
