Trolling Silverwood Lake for Striper

We got out to Silverwood to do some downrigger fishing (1st time using a DR not 1st time trolling) for the 1st time. We fish for only four hours so our trip was cut short due to running out of fuel. We got a total of 6 Stripers in the boat. Two using the Umbrella rig and 4 on the downrigger using Rapala's. All dinks except one which did weigh 6.13 lbs. Yes it was delicious. I cooked it blackened style with cajun seasoning and lemon butter sauce!

If you need to get your speed down use the two 5gl buckets. This poor mans method really works and you don't have to go out and spend a lot of money.
