Learn Krio (Sierra Leone)- Krio 101 (Lesson One)

This is the first installment of a video language learning series for the Krio language of Sierra Leone. Krio is a creole language, and the de facto (vernacular) language of Sierra Leone. Although the language borrows heavily from English, it is also has also derived much of its vocabulary indigenous African languages such as Temne, Mende Yoruba and many other languages spoken by the nation's forefathers. It is an African Language that embodies one of the principal premises of panafricanism in facilitating communication, understanding and unity amongst African peoples with unique cultures, languages and histories.
