AutoPilot 3.0 vs AutoPilot 2.0: better and worse at the same time

Thanks to one of my followers I finally got the chance to try out AutoPilot 3.0 (or hardware 3.0) with the FSD computer on my test circuit. To keep the variables minimal, it was also a Model S P100D. While the AutoPilot functionality is still choked by UNECE r79 regulations I was expecting it to behave a lot better than my car. In some cases that is true, but in other cases, it actually is worse than mine, which surprised me a lot.

Now, at the moment, Tesla is only beginning to make use of its own Neural Net optimised chipset. Up until now, they've been developing for HW2.5 and running this in an emulator on the FSD computer (which is nuts). But in the next couple of updates we should be seeing HW3 diverging from the HW2.0 and 2.5 cars. I'm looking forward to test the difference again in a couple of updates...
