Several years ago, 7 or 8, I saw on the Facebook a picture, how one guy press glass ceramic with a brick, adding remaining sprues into the investment.
I was a little bit shocked.
I asked big heads of the dental science, how it can happen and how could that be allowed. Because it harms patient's health, it's misguiding dentists, misguiding patients.
They said – Did you see that guy?
There is nothing to talk, let dentists speak about him.
So, there was a guy who used bricks to press, and then some guy from Korea saw it and looks like that he wanted to help his colleague.
He created something that I call the "meat grinder".
And now here in Russia a tour had started with our colleagues, telling that manual press is super device, it can do everything, it’s possible to press all kinds of ceramic with it.
But according to manufacturer's website you need another additional device to press inlays.
So, I would like to start from the beginning? How this all started, why it's important to choose other furnaces from my point of view and what was the development of glass-ceramic.
What does those system look like? What I saw on their website?
This "meat grinder" goes with a muffle oven and platinum foil.
The platinum foil used in dentistry for about hundred years or more.
I didn't see anything new, as I understand guys are just making money.
