Mercedes Benz W212 e350 steering Wheel SWAP for C63 AMG UPGRADE

I swapped my old steering wheel for a 2012-2014 AMG flat bottom steering wheel with lane assist, my old one did not have lane assist. I tried swapping out my column cover for a newer 2014, but that did not work (horn & buttons didn’t work). I put back my old column and what do you know....it worked like a charm. Make sure the airbag and steering wheel match, there’s no need for coding and or “chip swaps”, the wiring doesn’t match up, i tried it:/. My car is currently at the body shop, its getting a full paint job. Steering wheel & airbag vin donor# WDDGJ7HB1CF921838 Mercedes 2012 C63 My Mercedes is a 2010 E350 4Matic.
