As I walked through the halls I realized that something was different. Everyone was staring at me but no one said a word.

"Hey, Luke," I said as I stopped by my locker to put my books.

Luke was more than my best friend, he was like a brother to me, so when he shook his head, slammed his locker and walked away I knew that something was up.

I quickly packed my books, closed my locker and followed Luke.

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked as I got hold of Luke's arm. Luke shrugged my arm off his and said, "I cant believe that you would do that."

Luke stormed off but before I could follow him I saw Claire. Claire was the girl that I had been crushing on since I was ten years old. She was also the Vice President of the school and as of yesterday I was voted the President.

I’ve been wanting to run for a while but I never really had the courage too. Luke encouraged me to do it and together we did the campaign and yesterday voting took place and I won!

Claire always copped that title but yesterday I won. While I was looking forward to helping the school population I couldn’t wait to spend more time with Claire. Maybe, just maybe, I would have the courage to ask her out.

I approached her hesitantly and asked, “Hey, Claire, do you have any idea why kids are looking at me as though I am on the most wanted list?”
