Record Video with an External Mic and Power Source on Your iPhone

The nonexistent headphone jack on the newer iPhones can be an annoyance. Here is a workaround on how you can use your iPhone to create long-form content with video creation (or use this in your car to listen to music and charge at the same time).

I tested multiple adapters and found that although many work as headphone jacks, most don't support the mic input. So be careful on what you choose. I found that Lightning to Lightning splitting works best with headphones, making sure that the adapter has call functionality is a good indicator, and using multiple adapters to make my setup work was the most reliable solution.

Let me know any questions in the comments below 🎤.

Please note that it is basically impossible to link to "one specific" adapter on amazon since the brands and devices constantly change and are usually different on a per country basis.

Please use the information in this video and judge for yourself which one may be the right one (the ones that also support calling are usually also good for use in our setups with microphones.

Hope that works and have a great day 🌸.
