HOW TO COOK THE BEST SAGO DESSERT || STEAMED TAPIOCA PEARL CAKE

The soft and chewy texture of this green sago together its rich pandan-flavoured taste and coating of desiccated coconut definitely makes it stand out.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup sago/tapioca pearl
4 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp pandan flavoring
pinch of salt
desiccated coconut for coating

Boil water, add sago, sugar, salt and pandan flavoring until sago isalmost fully cooked. Place boiled sago into a mould. Steam for at least 20 minutes or until sago is translucent. Set aside and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Remove sago from mould and slice into desired bite size. Coat sliced sago with fresh grated or desiccated coconut.
