"Living and dying well"
Neither Pro-Life nor Pro-Death, but Pro-Choice
*Being Pro-Life is preventing others from dying painlessly, forcing them to live even if they no longer want to, even if they suffer martyrdom.
*To be Pro-Death is to incite others to commit suicide, to prevent them from living well, even to kill them or let them die when they want to live.
*To be Pro-Choice is to be neither Pro-Life nor Pro-Death : to impose neither Life nor Death on others, to exert no pressure on them... but to leave them the choice, to respect their freedom. Give them all the cards in their hands to live well - while also giving them the means to die well.
*Only when others do everything possible to enable me to "live well" (against the Pro-Death) while also allowing me to "die well" when I decide to (against the Pro-Life)that I can truly say to myself, "I have the choice between living and dying."
(In the end, Pro-Life are Pro-Death, as by preventing us from disposing of our lives, they instrumentalize us and thus instill in us the desire to kill ourselves to escape their grip. Only Pro-Choice are not Pro-Death). (To love a person or a thing, one must be free to choose it: those who exalt the "love of life" should therefore be the first to defend the right to painless suicide).
