Can the Chinese Communist Party Rule for Another 100 Years?

The Chinese Communist Party, celebrating its 100th anniversary on July 1st, is in the process of reinvention. This transformation is putting the party at the forefront of China’s youth who, at 400–600 million strong, forms the backbone of China’s future. This is a transformation of both China’s self-perception and its relations with the world – especially the West – and the party’s ability to steer it will determine the party’s longevity as the governing party of the most populous nation in the world. In this conversation, Eric X. Li talks about the past, present and future of the Communist Party of China. Moderated by FCC President Keith Richburg.
