I Want To Look Old School, Not Old

Style consulting is about the client. It's not about what I think someone should look like, it's about helping them achieve the look they have in their head. In this case Kyle didn't want to look like a typical groom, he wanted to look like himself at the altar. The wedding took place outdoors in August, so immediately I knew we needed to use lightweight and breathable fabrics. Furthermore he wanted to keep his old school style throughout the outfit while being cool in the summer sun, so a jacket (even linen) might be too much. We worked around the oxblood color of a pair of shoes he liked and had some suspenders made to match, tropical wool trousers from Brooks Brothers, along with a white poplin shirt to set it off old school style. Then it was off to the tailor to get these modified to fit Kyles slim build.
Furthermore, the groomsmen needed to easily replicate this outfit and could easily do so with just a few items they might already have.
