The Queers Built This event series aims to look back at the roots of Pride in order to envision the future of LGBTQ culture and politics. In the first event, hosted by Peyton Dix, we’ll learn from collectives and organizations who are continuing activist and DIY traditions within the queer community today.

Black and Pink is a United States prison abolitionist organization supporting LGBTQ and HIV-positive prisoners. It organizes a pen pal program, distributes a prisoner-written newspaper to its incarcerated members, provides court accompaniment, and educates people on their rights.
