World Of Warships Legends: Two Brothers HUGE Change! Map Plays Very Differently!
Two brothers in the most recent update had a huge change which completely effects the meta of this map.
You may have noticed it already: spawns!
Previously, this map saw your entire team split mostly evenly on either of the two sides of the sole island in the map, which required you to do a full 180 to go down the middle, and if you did it would only be you.
As of the current update, it sees you spawn in a more conventional manner: 3 groups of 3. One group of 3 on either of the two sides, and one group which spawns directly in the middle. This is very significant on the impact it will have in playing two brothers.
It no longer plays out as a long range island spamming/slug fest, which isn’t fun for most people. You now have to be conscious of the middle, and you cannot leave it unguarded. It’s very viable to rush center now, which will lead to nasty crossfires that will make either or both of your flanks fall apart. Also means you can more effectively rush and get into brawls on either of the two sides. But most importantly: if you spawn mid, you do not have to rush, (even if I think it’s a good idea in a lot of cases) but you CANNOT abandon mid. You must guard the center and prevent the enemy from getting through, or your team will fall apart.
In my opinion, it completely changes the meta of this map from a long range snipe fest which isn’t the most fun of metas, to a close range brawling map which is significantly more fun to play in my opinion.
Let me know what you guys think below, do you like the changes or prefer it the old way? Personally I think this map is 10x better as a result. Went from perhaps my least favorite map in the game to among my favorites simply by changing the spawns. It’s interesting to think how this strategy could be applied to other maps which may not necessarily be fan favorites, but I do think Two brothers was in the most dire need of a spawn change.
