Observer on race to find COVID-19 vaccine

The race to find a COVID-19 vaccine is a step closer to the finish line. Pfizer's vaccine candidate is fuelling hopes it could be rolled out this year. But there has been a setback for a strong contender, CoronaVac, which is developed by China's Sinovac. Brazil has suspended clinical trials after an "adverse incident" involving a volunteer recipient. In Singapore, Arcturus is expecting to start distributing a vaccine early next year. Professor Wang Linfa from the Duke-NUS Medical School shared his views on these latest developments.
