Tonya and Nathaniel Johnson first met in the army and were engaged to be married. However, Nathaniel broke things off and moved to Germany when he found out the son Tonya was carrying wasn’t his. The two lost touch for a while before Tonya she reached out to Nathaniel via Facebook and rekindled their romance. Nathaniel says Tonya proposed to him and the two were married September 23rd, 2011. Tonya says shortly after becoming engaged to Nathaniel she found out he was a member of the Hebrew Israelites, which she claims is a cult. She says they weren’t even allowed to have sex on their wedding night, because it was before the Sabbath. She says Nathaniel’s involvement with his church ruined their marriage and he chose his religion over her.
