Erroll Garner - I'm in the Mood for Love (1962)
In celebration of Erroll's birthday, here is the maestro from Pittsburgh performing the Jimmy McHugh/Dorothy Fields masterpiece. Perhaps not as familiar to listeners as the 1949 and 1951 recordings on Savoy and Columbia respectively, but classic Garner nonetheless. Recorded on July 7 1961 with Eddie Calhoun on bass, and Kelly Martin drums. Released in early 1962. Happy birthday, Erroll!
