One of my favorite ways to unwind when I travel to Pakistan or India is to get a haircut, which is a unique, relaxing experience you have to feel to believe! As my time in Pakistan came winding to a close, I decided to pamper myself with a free shave and massage in Lahore, Pakistan!

My Pakistani haircut experience would take place in the oldest part of town, the walled city. I’d be getting a clean shave right on the street for the very first time!

The barber had a whole setup in an alleyway off the street. It felt good to just sit down after hours of exploring!

First, the barber put some water on my head, which felt tingly. Then, he applied shaving cream. The razor felt so good against my scalp, but it also tickled a little!

After he shaved my head and neck, he started on the beard. I’d been growing it out for 14 days straight!

He used the clippers first to shave it down and then gave me a quick face massage. Then, he applied shaving cream and shaved the remaining hair off. It was so relaxing, I was falling asleep!

Afterward, I felt so fresh and clean and I looked about ten years younger! Then, it was time for the massage!

He started on my shoulders and the back of my neck. It felt so good! Then, he cracked my neck and got around my eyebrows.

He followed that with a massage down my arms and then got my hands and individual fingers. It felt unbelievable!

Then, finally, he rubbed my face with a rock to finish up. Then, I realized that my barber had only two fingers on one of his hands!

What an incredible street haircut experience!
