I made a truck tent out of PVC pipe and a tarp!. Works great but I think for fall weather I might want a heavy duty tarp, for summer a bug net would be be great as long as no rain. I have a short bed truck but the queen size blow up mattress fits just right, The pipe and elbows were around $25.00, I used a 10x12 cheap tarp around $10.00, the blow up queen size mattress is $19.99. All in all I will use this system again, but i do want to test it in the rain. Dinner we test out frozen doe ball type biscuits, wrap them around a stick and bake them.....yummy!
