00:01 - Intro
00:39 - Parts we are going to use to make this rear fender install a breeze
02:45 - Lets get started! What do you need to do before starting.
03:48 - First step to prep.
04:34 - How to determine where your fender sits and where to mark out your chain relief if needed.
06:31 - Don't make sharp corners in your cut lines!
07:30 - Safety Talk
08:46 - Make sure your marker line on chain relief is good and cut it out!
13:04 - How to clean up your cuts.
15:48 - Determine what parts to remove or keep out of your way like oil bag, battery box and seat to have more work when determining tab locations and possible interference issues.
16:40 - Place fender where you want to mount and tape it to the wheel, use your fingers to feel the gap on both sides of the wheel.
17:27 - Visualize, measure, laser eye, whatever method you want to do to determine your top fender mount bracket location. Different tips on how to prepare top bracket.
18:42 - Not all bikes wheels are centered to the frame rails. This may help determine how you will mount your brackets.
19:40 - Mark any cut lines you may need to do on bracket if needed.
20:22 - The plan on how to mount this style of Lowbrow Customs Top Fender Mount Bracket.
21:15 - Benefits of welding bungs to the fender instead of drilling and putting through bolts.
22:07 - Visualize, measure, laser eye, whatever method you want to do to determine the lower fender mount bracket location. Pay attention to which way the bolt will sit, is it easy to access or hard?
22:52 - Mark any cut lines you may need to do on the bracket if needed.
23:37 - Cut brackets to size you need.
24:18 - Clamps man, Clamps!
24:53 - Determine center of fender or where you want to mount your tabs and clamp them up leaving room for tac welds.
26:05 - Check location on fender of the bracket, and recheck.
28:00 - Triple check your work on your fender gap and brackets are in the place you want, centered etc.
28:23 - Tac weld the bungs first to the fender then the bracket to the frame.
33:37 - Rear fender struts!
34:50 - Determine the line you want your struts to be, do one side at a time.
35:46 - How to mount the strut to the fender.
37:41 - Clean off the fender where the bung is going to go.
37:56 - How to determine where the bung on the fender is going to go.
38:19 - Clamp it!
38:34 - Tac the bung on the fender.
39:34 - Whoa! Don't tac the strut lower mount just yet, it's gonna be easier to determine your bends of the strut before welding it to the lower mount. Don't cut to length just year either.
40:45 - How to be lazy and use a cheater bar to bend the strut in a vice. Take your time and check your work as you go, you may have to bend the strut a few times to get it just right.
43:57 - Determine your cut line on your strut.
46:55 - Meh, We didn't like our first strut, so we made another bending it with heat.
47:44 - Important, make sure your strut is not putting any tension on the fender bung, its freely moving yet in place but no gap for welding.
48:28 - Tac weld strut to bung and lower strut mount.
49:42 - Same process on the other side. Take your time and measure to determine bung location. Also this strut may bend a little less or more depending on your wheel center.
53:21 - How to bend strut with heat.
56:26 - After everything is tacked on the second side, take the struts and fender off of the bike to finish weld on your work bench. Finish weld the mounting brackets if you haven't already as well.
01:00:24 - Finished... AWE YEAH! get that sent off to the chrome and painter and get that scoot on the road bud!
