Richard Tucker Very Rare Interview Only Copy

This is a unique interview with Richard Tucker, given on Radio Station WEFM, which has now been off the air for over 30 years. It was conducted by Mr. Dick Noble, in 1970. Tucker makes many interesting observations about opera, his career, and his life in general during this interview. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only extant copy of this interview and thus of great historical value for those interested in the life and career of the man commonly considered to be America's greatest operatic tenor. The interview tape ends abruptly as Tucker states his interest in doing Mozart in the parks that summer.

Heartfelt thanks, again, to my friend Steve at Youtube Channel Shicoff 1, who was a close friend of the great tenor, and whose willingness to share his unique collection via Youtube represents a very major contribution to the history of musical art in America. All Richard Tucker fans are absolutely in your debt, my friend! Thank you!
