KIRK WINDSTEIN Remembers DIMEBAG, Defends Philip H. Anselmo & Discusses Concert Safety!

This past Monday, December 8th marked ten years since "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott from PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN was assassinated on stage while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. Dime was shot six times (four times in the head), which killed him instantly.

In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of Dimebag's passing, this past Monday, December 8th (day of the 10th anniversary of DIME's passing) we sat down with KIRK WINDSTEIN of CROWBAR and KINGDOM OF SORROW at St. Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, New York, to talk with him about the legacy of DIMEBAG.

During this very deep and personal interview, not only did Kirk share with us a bunch of heart warming stories about Dime but he also defended his former DOWN bandmate PHILIP H. ANSELMO from the accusations he faced around the time of Dime's passing.

Additionally, Kirk spoke about concert safety and how concerts changed forever after DIme was assassinated on stage.
