Romain Grosjean is a Swiss-French racing driver best known for his 10-season career in Formula 1, where he earned 10 podium finishes, and his subsequent move to IndyCar in 2021. Grosjean has raced for Renault (2009), Lotus (2012–2015), Haas F1 Team (2016–2020) and is characterized as a fast but often unlucky driver whose F1 career was punctuated by dramatic incidents and a remarkable survival in a 2020 fireball crash which happens to be the subject of this edit. Grosjean suffered a terrifying 67G impact at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix which was also his last race in F1. His Haas car split in two and caught fire, but he managed to escape the wreckage in under 30 seconds. He is and always will be remembered as the man who walked out of fire.

Grosjean made a ceremonial return to an F1 cockpit nearly five years after his accident, as a "proper goodbye" to Formula 1. He drove a 2023-spec Haas car (the VF-23) during a private test session at the Mugello circuit in Italy. Most definitely the subject for a future edit 👀
