Bengawan Solo - Virtual DYD Angklung Orchestra

The song, written in 1940 by Gesang Martohartono, describes in a poetic way the legendary river Bengawan Solo, that it is surrounded by mountains, that its source is at the town of Solo, and that the river flows into the sea.
Indonesian Independence Day has always been a festive celebration where children and adults come together to play Indonesian Traditional games and hoist our flag in Flag Ceremony. Conditions don't allow this to happen this year. However, we hope this song still sparks the spirit and festivity of this special event.
