J.Crew Sustainable Swimsuits Try-On

When I saw J.Crew was rolling out a 100% sustainable swimsuit collection I was like, “Put me in coach.” Sustainable swimwear is part of J.Crew’s Re-Imagined initiative: finding new, ethical and environmentally friendly ways to source material and produce clothing. The new swimwear line touts 100% recycled material to reduce waste that ends up in landfills and oceans. I ordered four different suits to see how they fit and, more importantly, how they stack up to the swimsuits of summers’ past.

Overall I give J.Crew’s new sustainable swimsuit initiative an enthusiastic two thumbs up. They’ve kept the classic styles that make J.Crew suits a beloved favorite while adding a few fresh, unexpected cuts and colors. While some of the coverage leaves something to be desired (for me personally) I’m excited to see what else they’ll “Re-imagine.”
