GORILLA SILVERBACK MATADI WILL BE REMEMBERED AS A LOVELY FATHER

Can't wrap my mind around it yet, but sadly it is true. Matadi died last Monday due to covid 19 and Bordetella. Way too young, 20 yrs old. I'll remember him as the most gentle and loving silverback daddy for his two daughters. My oh my did he bring us so much fun whilst playing with his daughters. In loving memory of Mati (as we called him)!

Zoo: Antwerpen
Silverback: Matadi - born March 25th 2003, died † October 9th 2023.

Females: Mayani and daughter Thandie, Mambele and daughter Vizazi.
Eastern Lowland Gorilla female: Amahoro
