Removing Taper bearing outer races with a tig welder in a lathe, car etc

Pretty standard procedure to remove the outer races from a blind hole, where you cannot press them out. use an Oxy torch, Mig or Tig welder to melt and shrink the metal. Tig seems to be the cleanest tho, far less chance to contaminate the area with metal spatter.
