Megadosing with vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is a home remedy for acne that can turn even severe cystic acne into clear skin. However, this treatment does have side effects (e.g., severe HAIR LOSS in my case) and costs, so getting off it once clear skin is achieved is ideal. Unfortunately, there’s virtually no guidance or information out there on how to wean oneself off large doses of B5 without causing a resurgence of acne. Having cleared my skin years ago using B5, I had to figure out for myself how to get off this stuff sans breakouts.
