Prayer from Isaiah 12 Surely You are our salvation, Lord
Entitled:
Surely, You are our salvation, Lord.
Isaiah 12 says:
In that day you will say:
“I will praise you, Lord.
Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
and you have comforted me.
Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense[a];
he has become my salvation.”
With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.
In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.
Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.
Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,

for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

Let us pray:

O Lord, our God,

Though Your anger once burned against us,
Your grace has brought comfort,

And we rejoice in Your mercy.

Surely, You are our salvation;

We lift our voices in praise of You.

We place our trust in You,
And we will not be afraid for

The Lord, and the Lord Himself,
Is our strength and our defense;
You have become our salvation, Lord.
With joy, we draw water
From You, our wells of salvation,
Sipping deeply from the life You provide.
We Give you praise dear Lord and
Proclaim your name among the nations;
Let all the earth know what You have done,
And exalt Your holy name.”
We sing to You, O Lord,
For You have done glorious things;
Let this truth resonate throughout the world.
We shout aloud and sing for joy,
For great is You, Holy One of Israel among us.
Lord, we commit to sharing Your goodness,
To proclaim Your greatness in every corner of the earth.
May our hearts overflow with gratitude,
May our lives reflect Your love and light.
In Your name, we find our strength and hope.
Amen.
