Time To Tackle The Weeds | Lawn Transformation Project

While we’ve had nice lawns in the past at previous properties, to get to that point we’ve always started from scratch. Most times starting with “fresh” rollout lawn which with a little TLC, is relatively easy to manage with frequent fertilising and herbicide/insecticide treatments as required.

We thought we’d take a different approach with Glenn’s lawn this time, which is currently made up of kikuyu, fine fescue, and a whole range of weeds.

In this second episode, we take a look at what difference the previous application of the slow release fertiliser (22-1-4 + Iron) has had within the lawn, and begin our treatment of weeds by applying Prolawn’s Broadsword Herbicide with the aim of removing the majority of the broadleaf weeds (including prickles) in the lawn.
