Not long ago, 12-year old Eamonn Kennedy hated getting up on stage. In his first TEDx talk, he talks about the importance of finding your voice, overcoming fear, why public speaking needs to be brought back to schools to help students develop leadership, creative and life skills in ways that traditional tests don't. Eamonn Kennedy is a 7th-grade student in New York City. A native New Yorker, active in school, sports and his community, Eamonn has also lived in Vienna, Austria. When he was younger, Eamonn experienced stage fright. He now shares his experience of how he overcame that fear with a message to help others understand the power of their unique voice and why public speaking should be brought back to schools.
