Der neue Thomaskantor Andreas Reize | Thomanerchor Leipzig (St. Thomas Boys Choir)

Als erster Schweizer ist der Solothurner Kirchenmusiker Andreas Reize zum Thomaskantor in Leipzig berufen worden. Bekannt wurde der Solothurner als Direktor des Zürcher Bach-Chores und der Singknaben der St. Ursenkathedrale Solothurn. Letztere wird er weiter leiten, bis er im September die 18. Nachfolge von Johann Sebastian Bach antritt.

Andreas Reize, a church musician from Solothurn, is the first Swiss to be appointed Thomaskantor in Leipzig. The Solothurn native became known as the director of the Zurich Bach Choir and the Boys' Choir of St. Ursus Cathedral in Solothurn. He will continue to direct the latter until he succeeds Johann Sebastian Bach as 18 in September.
