The heartbreaking reality of orca captivity | Elene Koblianidze | TEDxIBEuropeanSchool
Sometimes humans are too blind to see the truth until someone doesn’t point in the right direction. The aim of this talk is to make the viewers think about a problem that can be easily solved if we all work together and that is animal captivity. The talk itself is about orcas – marine mammals that are trained to create a show for humans. There are so many heartbreaking facts you are going to find out. You will see how humanity can be cruel to beautiful creatures. Elene Koblianidze is a 17-year-old student at the European School. Since childhood she loved
Interacting with animals and has a pet dog which she dearly cares for. In addition, she has a lot of hobbies: she loves to read books, watches movies, plays the piano, and enjoys drawing. She is a shy person but when it comes to global problems she is not afraid to speak up and help out in any way possible. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
