Peugeot Citroen P1718 gearbox error

My Peugeot 508 e-HDI 2011 showed this error code every now and then. Mostly when hot and trying to go into reverse. Annoying as I have to let the car cool down. With these slides I'll explain how the gear control works and how to debug this error.
I fixed my problem by adding a small 105 Ohm resistor in one gear lever line instead of replacing the ECU (which was the correct way, but much more expensive...)
I think the 2-tronic/robot automatic 6-speed gearbox is also used in the Citroen C4, but I'm not sure. I've searched a lot and found some C4 users that had similar problems.
