SF Landmarks Are All Over This Iconic Fountain | KQED Arts #Shorts

Acclaimed Japanese American artist, activist and educator Ruth Asawa was born in California and lived in San Francisco’s Noe Valley with her family. Deeply involved with her community through her art, the San Francisco Fountain is located at Stockton and Post Streets and was a collaborative effort that included the help of family, friends, kids and other artists.

Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, join Myles Bess as we throwback to the late 60s to hear KQED’s interview with Ruth Asawa about her iconic work.
