Electronics Recycling: Removal of Valuable Chips from Boards | Cutting Process

In this video, we show how electronics recycling works and how valuable chips are removed from printed circuit boards. Watch the precise cutting process during which valuable components and metals are recovered from old electronics. This is one of the most important stages of e-waste recycling, helping reduce pollution and conserve natural resources. During recycling, the following precious metals are most commonly recovered: gold (Au) — in connectors, contacts, and chip leads; silver (Ag) — in solder and contacts; palladium (Pd) — in SMD capacitors and some contacts; and platinum (Pt) — found more rarely, mainly in special components.
