'£253M OVERSPEND!' - Sadiq Khan's deputies GRILLED on Met Police overspending and culture

The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee convened on February 11, 2026 and saw several members of the committee express their frustration with Sadiq Khan's team London Deputy Mayor Kaya Comer-Schwartz and her fellow deputies.

The committee called for the team to answer questions about the major overspending on the Metropolitan Police, as well as questions about the culture of the police from frontline officers to the heads of the Met Police to the Mayor's office.
