Hey everyone! I wanted to share some of my rust prevention process.

This is the first time I’ve done my own undercarriage spray protection work. I think I did a good job. It took 2.5 hours (I thought I’d have it done in only 1!)

⚠️Wear your protection guys. There was a ton of vapor on my goggles and mask that I wiped off multiple times. Having the protection made it easy to take gear off and not have to cough up Fluid Film and get it out of my ears and eyes.

After hours of research I made the decision on Fluid Film based on other people’s results.

🙅‍♂️NEVER EVER use a rubberized spray on your frame. You are trapping moisture which will rot your truck from the inside out.

☝🏼 PRO TIP: Avoid spraying on the bushings that rest on the top of the strut springs. If you get the film between the upper strut spring and the bushing, it will create a creaking sound at speeds under 20mph. This can be resolved with a liberal dose of brake cleaner shot to that area, with a helper rocking the truck to work it in.
