Peter Dutton delivers 'troubling' statistics on Australian businesses

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has delivered “troubling” statistics on the falling away of Australian businesses.

“More than 16,000 businesses around the country have gone insolvent since July 1, 2022,” Mr Dutton told Parliament House during his 2024 budget reply.

“Behind each of those is a family who may have lost their home, but certainly have lost their savings.”
