Here’s a quick and easy Instant Sabudana Dosa recipe — no fermentation required!



Ingredients (for 4–5 dosas):
• 1 cup sabudana (small variety works best)
• ½ cup rice flour or suji rava (or sama rice flour for fasting)
• ¼ cup curd/yogurt (optional for slight tanginess)
• 1 boiled potato (mashed, optional for binding)
• 2 tablespoons crushed roasted peanuts
• 1–2 green chilies (finely chopped)
• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
• Salt to taste (sendha namak for fasting)
• Water as needed
• Ghee or oil for cooking



Instructions:

1. Roast Sabudana
2. Make the Batter:
• Grind and mix:
• sabudana
• ½ cup rice flour or suji rava
• ¼ cup curd (optional)
• Mashed potato (if using)
• cumin, green chilies, and salt
• Add water gradually to form a spreadable dosa batter — thinner than idli batter, slightly runny.

3. Cook Dosas:
• Heat a non-stick or well-seasoned iron tawa.
• Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently (sabudana makes it slightly sticky, so go slowly).
• Drizzle ghee/oil around the edges.
• Cook on medium flame until golden and crisp.
• Flip and cook other side if needed.



Serve Hot With:
• Peanut chutney
• Coconut chutney
• Yogurt with cumin
