1st Father's Day without my Dearest Dad

I heard of a 7-year "sentence" on dialysis patients here in the U.S. My strong, stoic Father broke it by 1 year and 3 months, and not without anomalous malpractice by the very "professionals" who were supposed to take care of Him. People say that when one dies in a devoted husband-and-wife relationship, the other soon follows suit, with a year usually at the latest. My Dad held on and stayed with us for 2 years after we lost my Mom. The truth is: it's not that my Itay didn't love my Inay that much, He loved my brother and me that much. Yet, devastated and sorrowing for my Mother, I took it for granted. Now, He's gone. And "deep in my heart, I miss Him so today."
