Conservation Connection: Red Panda

Female Red Pandas are only in season for a 24-hour period each year - so their cubs are rare and precious indeed!

Wellington Zoo is part of an international breeding programme to protect Red Pandas. Keep an eye out for young Manasa (climbing all over keeper Linda in the video in pursuit of banana) next time you're at the Zoo. His big brother, Sir Ed, was born at Wellington Zoo and now lives in Bristol with a new ladyfriend!
