BOTH AMG GT R Roadster and GT R Pro? UNEXPECTED DIFFERENCES!

My AMG GT R Roadster is now ready for the road! Topaz Detailing have completed the PPF so we're on the road with the GT R Pro too, for a first drive and comparison between the two models. There are more differences than you might think... aside from the obvious fact that one's a convertible!

Having dropped the Roadster off a few days ago for a run through the Topaz wash bay ahead of paint protection film installation, the process is now complete which means a 'first' drive. While technically I did drive it on the road to bring it home on collection day, it's a different feeling when you know it's ready and safe on the roads.

To pick up the Roadster, it made sense to get the two AMG GTs together for a back to back drive for a feel of how they actually stack up and of course answer the questions as to why they are both in the garage together.

Meanwhile, the next stop is to deliver the GT R Pro to the Mercedes-Benz service centre as it is now a year old and time for the annual routine maintenance to be carried out. Stay tuned though, because tomorrow something surprising will join the Shmeemobiles...!
